CAMDEN Accessible Playground

25TH ANNIVERSARY/GRAND RE-OPENING CELEBRATION

June 23 was designated as "CAMDEN Playground Grand Re-Opening and 25th Anniversary Day" by the City of Janesville, something which we hold in high honor. Many showed up for the celebration which went from 11 am to 4 pm and it really made our hearts happy to see the joy this playground had brought.

During the celebration we had a DJ volunteer his time all day, clowns, face painting, petting zoo, animal show, arts and crafts, a short program, raffles of 3 kids bikes and baskets. The Janesville Police Dept, Janesville Fire Dept, and Rock County Sheriff's Dept were on hand giving out stickers to the kids, many loved the K-9 patrol officer dog who was there, too. Many truck food vendors came to offer food and drink, and we gave away cake, root beer, and licorice to anyone who wanted it.

A special color book was made for a scavenger hunt and all who took part got colors and prizes for doing the hunt. Everyone had a wonderful time, and we hope they know how much we appreciated their help with the rebuild of the playground.

Enjoy the pictures of this special day, and look at the happiness on the faces of those children who can finally use the playground with everyone else. Thank you to Charlotte Ann Bartelt and Angela Sievers for sharing their beautiful photos of Charlotte's Daughter, Angelique Bolthouse Bartelt and her friend, Ellie Kuntz, Daughter of Rebecca. And thank you to Angela Sievers who sent the photos of her Son, Rigg Sievers. They are why we built this playground, so ALL can play together and enjoy their lives.
