On August 26 the beginning of CAMDEN Playground rebuild took place. Though we didn't have the 80 Volunteers the Architects wanted us to have, those who were there, rain or shine, worked hard and did a very good job.
So now we present the NEW CAMDEN Accessible Playground; even more accessible with the addition of a wheelchair accessible merry-go-round and swing, as well as the ramping system and rubber matting ground. It was open June 9, 2017 for the first time.
Remember, if you want something done, Volunteer, don't expect someone else to do it for you because it won't happen. Giving of yourself is the greatest gift you can give your children. Those who worked on this playground will have memories to tell others of for years to come, as will their children and grandchildren. Never let another do what you can do yourself...experience the joys of volunteering and you experience one of the greatest treasures life has to give.
THANK YOU TO THE VOLUNTEERS WHO STEPPED FORWARD TO WORK ON REBUILDING THIS VERY SPECIAL PLAYGROUND, IT WAS AN HONOR TO MEET YOU.
COMPLETION: JUNE 9, 2017
THE PLAYGROUND IS COMPLETED, but for a few minor things; plaque wall, donor sign, and wall mural sign, BUT THE MATTING IS IN AND IT LOOKS GREAT. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND THOSE OF YOU WHO HELPED MAKE IT A REALITY...YOU ARE OUR ANGELS AND WE THANK YOU ALL..
